This one is one was used as a ceiling decor for the wedding, a dowry gift from the brides family. Fully hand embroidered tribal art, well wishes for the couple and religious and cultural symbols, on a linen - cotton fabric. It is vintage (approximate 40+ years old), has signs of usage (please check the photos. I try to display them all), which makes it no less beautiful, instead it becomes even more interesting and "alive" .
Our textile treasures have been collected from the houses of tribal villages in the desert regions of Gujarat and Rajastan. The local tribal people there are famous for their colorful textile craftsmanship and unique types of embroidery art.
