Create a unique, colorful sanctuary above your bed, in a reading nook, meditation corner, or nursery — with a one-of-a-kind wall mounted bed canopy made entirely by hand in Kashmir, India.

Each canopy is crafted from two vintage Indian sarees, paired with three hand-carved Kashmiri walnut wood rods and a round wall mount bracket. Because we use vintage textiles, no two canopies are ever the same. The colors, patterns, and fabric textures in yours will be unique to your piece alone.

This is a made-to-order product. We choose the sarees closest to the  example pictures, or you can let us know your preferred colors and we will select vintage sarees to match your vision as closely as available fabrics allow.

What Makes This Different

The walnut wood rods are shaped and carved by hand using a woodworking tradition that has been practiced in Kashmir for over 600 years. Each rod carries subtle carved details that you can see and feel — the kind of craftsmanship that sets this apart from anything mass-produced.

The saree fabric is hand-sewn from carefully selected vintage textiles, each carrying its own history of color, pattern, and weave. Together with the carved wood, the result is a bed curtain that brings warmth, depth, and character to any room it enters.

How It Looks in Your Space

Mount it above your bed to frame your sleeping space with softly draping fabric. Use it as a backdrop for a meditation area, a daybed, or a reading corner. It works beautifully in bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries, and play spaces.

There is no single right way to hang it. Arrange the three rods to suit your wall and your style.

In our example setup, the top rod sits 75 inches high. The two side rods are spaced 57 inches apart, with the fabric falling 63 inches from each side rod to the floor. You can adjust all spacing and height to fit your room.

Walnut wood carving has been practiced in Kashmir for over six hundred years. Our wood carver, based in Srinagar, shapes each rod and wall mount by hand, adding traditional carved details that reflect this long heritage. The sarees are hand selected from vintage stocks across India and sewn together by our Kashmiri tailoring artisan. From sourcing to stitching to carving, every part of this canopy is made by hand — no factory, no assembly line.
