Authentic Indian tribal doorway topper - entrance decor - wall tapestry- or window valance
One of a kind - vintage

India is a land of colors - amazing cultures, unique traditions and so many festivals.
The Indian textile arts are a beautiful mirror of all that.

This handmade, door hanging is from the the western part of India, Gujarat - completely hand embroidered with traditional tribal designs (a mix of religious symbols, daily tribal life and well wishes) on cotton fabric. The tribes of Gujarat (originally nomadic tribes) have a unique way of displaying their culture and lifestyle and every day life through their textile art which is famous for the vivid colors and rich embroidery.

This piece is very special and absolute unique. The embroidery is really amazing and it is well preserved, even most of all the ( real ) tiny mirrors are still embedded. The tribal designs are very unique and tell their stories

Size is:approximately 80 inches wide and 62 inches high
Use it as a unique door / entrance decor, or wall tapestry, for hippie decor at festivals, for yoga rooms or bohemian homes, a photo backdrop for boho chic garden partys. So many ideas to think of.
Each of these tell a story of its own.

But please note: it is vintage (approximate 30+ years old) and has clear signs of usage (please check the photos, there can be small color stains, mud stains, missing or cracked mirrors or other little damages), which make it no less beautiful, instead it becomes even more interesting and "alive".

This Toran is a special globetrotter - treasure for bohemian homes and hippie decor.
